Day 3: Renew Your Strength – Wait on the Lord

God promises to renew our strength when we wait on Him. Trust in His timing and provision. The key is not merely waiting, but waiting with hope and expectation, knowing that God sees you, knows your heart, and has a perfect plan for your life. When you surrender to His will, He will renew you in ways you never imagined.

Brian had been waiting for years for a promotion that seemed just out of reach. Despite his hard work and dedication, he felt overlooked, as if his efforts were invisible. Frustration set in, and doubt began to erode his confidence. One day, in the quiet of his reflection, he recalled the verse, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” That moment was pivotal for Brian. He realized that he had been relying too much on his own efforts, and not enough on God’s timing.

Instead of pushing harder and feeling defeated, Brian decided to pause and trust God. He started focusing on the work he had in front of him, giving it his best without the pressure of “what’s next.” He also began seeking opportunities to serve others, building relationships, and growing in his faith. Slowly, the anxiety he had about the promotion faded as he learned to embrace where God had placed him at that moment.

Eventually, the promotion came, but it wasn’t just about the new title or salary. Brian’s journey had transformed him spiritually. He realized that the waiting process had deepened his trust in God’s timing and refined his character in ways success alone could not. He had learned that waiting wasn’t passive—it was an active pursuit of patience, trust, and faithful service.

Just like Brian, we too can trust the process God is leading us through. Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing—it means leaning into God, finding strength in Him, and trusting that He is working things out behind the scenes. God is never idle; He is always preparing us for what lies ahead.

Call to Action:

Ask yourself today: Where do you feel weary from waiting? Are you trusting God’s timing in that area, or are you trying to make things happen on your own? Take a moment to reflect on what it means to actively wait. Choose to surrender that area to God. As you wait, focus on serving where you are, trusting that your strength will be renewed, and that God’s perfect plan is unfolding in your life, piece by piece. Don’t be discouraged—trust the process.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength– Isaiah 40:31

Prayer:

Lord, I trust in Your timing. Renew my strength and patience as I wait for Your plan to unfold. Help me to serve faithfully in this season, knowing You are preparing me for what’s next. I surrender my plans to You and trust that You are working everything out for my good.

In Jesus’ Name

Amen
