Our faith can often grow cold or stagnant when we neglect to nurture it. However, God is a passionate refiner, always ready to reignite the fire within us. When we feel our enthusiasm for Him dimming, it’s time to ask Him to stir our hearts, rekindle our passion, and reignite our faith. A heart on fire for God can overcome doubts and fear, propelling us to live boldly for Him and to share His love with others.

David had been walking with the Lord for many years, but he noticed his passion for God slipping. Prayer felt like a chore, and Bible reading no longer stirred his soul. One day, during a church service, he heard the words from Revelation 3:15-16, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!” David realized he had been going through the motions. He began asking God to reignite his faith. Slowly, he found himself desiring more of God—reading Scripture with excitement, praying with intensity, and stepping out in faith in new ways. God faithfully answered David’s prayer and reignited his passion for Him.
When we experience spiritual dryness, we can be honest with God about it. Just as David was able to reignite his passion for the Lord, we too can ask God to restore our first love. In this, He is faithful to refill us with His passion, so we can live with greater fervor for His kingdom.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! – Revelation 3:15-16
Prayer: Lord, reignite my faith. Light the fire of passion in my heart once more. Help me to pursue You with the same zeal as I did when I first encountered Your love.
In Jesus Name
Amen
