Going through some sort of transition in your life ?

I came across this during my quiet time. Hope this encourages you with strength for the journey now and ahead , just like it did for me!

Joseph spent years in jail, and yet it was all made beautiful in His time. It’s only a short breath of a life we live, so let’s have faith that it’s not the end.’

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens
For there is a time for everything under the heavens.

Breakthrough

We pray for a breakthrough all the time. A breakthrough in our marriage, a breakthrough in our finances, a breakthrough in our job, a breakthrough in our relations, a breakthrough in our children’s behavior, a breakthrough in the world’s unjust happenings and a lot more ..

I looked up on the dictionary on what the word ‘ breakthrough’ stands for
and it came up with this

‘break through something to force your way through something that is stopping you from moving forward’

This morning I want to you to take a moment to ponder about ‘ what is stopping you from moving forward ?’ And ‘ what does it takes from yourself to see yourself to force through that ‘something’ so you can get your breakthrough ..

My prayer for you today is whatever breakthrough you are looking for, may the good Lord be gracious to bring it pass to you in His time and May you have the endurance during the process.

Trust in the Lord’s mighty and outstretched arms to lead you into your breakthrough

May you be blessed by this song ‘ breakthrough ‘. If God can do it for me, He can do it for you too .. He loves us too much to see us suffer

Breakthrough
===========

You never fail
Nor give up on failures like me
You always show up
Breaking through the storm
Like a lightning in the storm
Also quietening the waves
That roar to take the faith
That you have put in my heart
For the glory of Your name

Your light shines through the darkness
Breaking through the clouds
The clouds of fear and doubt
Your light expels the sins in our lives
And keep them far away
As far is east is from the west

Now I break free from my past
All the failures and hurts
Don’t exist anymore
Now I declare , that I am a new person in Christ
The Lord has given me a breakthrough !!
The old is gone and the new has come
I am a new person in Him

Your hand is more than mighty to save
And we will forever raise our hands
To Praise Your Holy Name
To Praise Your Holy Name

Father God,

May you be the be the rainbow of breakthrough in our clouds of darkness
We continue to trust in Your mighty hand to save us

In Jesus Name
Amen

WALKING ON THE WATERS

ISAIAH 43:2 (NLT)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you

When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned

The flames will not set you ablaze

Jesus is a God of ALL seasons. He promises to be with you through the thick and thin of life, through all your happy and sad moments, through all your hurts and disappointments. All His promises are true, yes and Amen

I have been meditating on this scripture for the past 1 week and I got a totally different revelation on them which I would love to share with you

The above verses are one of my favorites to cling onto ,especially during the tough moments. The calming re-assurance that God is with us, for us and will take us through the situation is all we need to know during our rough battles with life

Whilst we do have the re-assurance that God is with us ALL the time, if we closely look at the scripture God wants us to DO something in the midst of the trials and temptations. That’s right, God calls for ACTION not mere faith

Bible tells us in James 2:17 Faith without actions is dead

I want to highlight 3 things that can help and encourage you not just RISE ABOVE the waters but also  WALK ON the most toughest raging storm in your life

EN’Courage’

As I was thinking of my next post for my blog sometime in May, I had this picture pop up in my mind.

I saw a pit and there were few people inside that deep pit. There was a way out of that pit but no one dared to try that. Everyone were saddened by the fact that they were trapped in the pit. Their minds could not think beyond the fact that they were trapped in the pit.

There was one person in the same pit as that of others. That person keeps looking for ways from inside that very same pit everyone is currently stuck. That one person takes courage and manages to get out of the pit.

What I saw next and what was revealed to me was amazing. That one person who actually was in the same pit as others could have walked away as he was free from the trap. But instead that one person took courage and chose to encourage other people to get out .And eventually that one person ended up getting all the people out of the pit

As I kept thinking on this picture for the past 2 days , I had the Word ‘encourage’ pop in my mind.

I had this on my heart that God wants us to be encouragers. We are called to be salt and light of the world. We are different because of the Christ in us.
We are called to be the positive influence and spread Hope.

Let’s picture the ‘pit’ as events in your lives. It could be anything ranging from relationship breakdown, divorce, abuse, loss of loved one, accidents , disabilities, sickness etc. When that happens to you, are you just stuck in the ‘pit’ without even realizing that you are stuck in it ? Do you have the courage to make an effort to come out of the pit ? God wants you to not just take heart and courage to come out of the pit, He also wants you to encourage others that are in the same journey as you. Don’t let that ‘pit’ to push you further down. Instead use that very same ‘pit’ as a propellant to get you out of it.

I want to encourage you with my personal testimony

Few years ago, when my marriage of 6 years broke and ended up in divorce, right after the birth of my daughter, I felt my life in that very same deep ‘pit’ where there was no way out. Forget about encouraging people , I did not even have the courage to come out of the whole thinking that my life has ended that way. My thoughts were trapped in that thinking and that only thinking was that my life was over. It took almost 2 years to realise that it was just my thinking and assumption that made me feel the way I felt. Me thinking and feeling that my life is over is not actually going to make my life over. I went through phases of anger, self pity , disappointment and grief.

Thank God, I finally knelt down to pray. When I did that , I heard God tell me

The pain in your journey is not yours to treasure
It’s to bless another’s painful journey beyond measure

Sindu Varathan

There were so many things that I learnt through my journey. One thing is to encourage single moms / women in the same journey as me. Sometimes in life things happen unexpectedly and suddenly. God is not to blame as most of the time it’s human foolishness. In your deepest pain and hardest times, take a quiet moment to stop questioning God and to just hear Him say He loves you.

Read this Bible Verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:11

‘So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it ‘

Would you take courage today from God’s Word ? Would you find someone that is going through a hard time ? Would you take courage to encourage them in their walks of their lives and be a positive Hope to them in Christ ? Pass on a random act of kindness to someone you don’t know.

Share your story !
I would love to hear back from you !!

Remember it takes ‘courage’ to EN’Courage’

Christian Posters – Word Come to Life Through Pictures

christian-religious-posters-royal-prayer

Hey everyone ,

I found this really cool christian posters website. I read the testimony of the owner David Sorensen on this website and its really an encouragement of how God works in the lives of His people. Click on the link below and have a look for yourself 🙂

Life Christian Posters

I am a great fan of displaying Bible verses all around my home. It helps me stay rooted in the Word and be reminded of God’s love and grace every day.

These posters can be a great help while in Sunday school to get the attention span of toddlers during story time.

These christian posters can be ordered at any imaginable size and can be printed on fine art paper, canvas, and many other materials. They can also be framed. I am thinking of ordering some myself, my most favourite so far being The Lord’s Prayer.

Have a great day !

Stay Blessed 🙂

Overcoming Task Related Stress

‘ Lord , I have so much to do but got only very little time . What do I do ?’

img_2150-2

Do you relate to this overwhelming feeling? When you have so much to do and don’t know where to start. And as time passes, it starts overwhelming you as your daily tasks list just does not come down.

As a busy working parent of a nearly four year old toddler, keeping up with my ever changing IT career through constant studying, following my passion of serving in church, you can only imagine the length of my to-do list. I seem to have so many things on my to-do list and I must admit sometimes I just procrastinate that eventually I end up doing it just before the deadline but the stress involved leading upto the task completion is just not worth it

I love it that God is not just interested in my spiritual life, how I live, love and serve others.. He is also interested in the little things of my life and is ready to help me whenever I ask

2 days back I was a bit overwhelmed with my to-do list. To be precise I came home after work, spent about 2 quality hours with my daughter before putting her to bed. I had some church work to be completed that I have left it a bit long. I also had some final touch of my study assignments to be submitted and I had about 2 hours to complete them ALL before I hit bed to get some decent sleep for another long day at work the next day. I cannot leave my pending tasks for another day as I have already gotten past the deadline. Clearly I was a bit overwhelmed.

I looked up and a casual conversation with God began.

‘ Lord , I have so much to do but got only very little time . What do I do ?’

I love it that God understand me so well. Being a person of illustration myself, He speaks to me mostly through pictures.

God showed a hungry me on one side. He then showed me a picture of a big plate, a plate full of food including starters, main and desert all in one place. The food plate was HUGE. I felt Him saying ‘eat’ and me in that picture I ate the starters first, the main next and then finally the desert. I was well fed. God asked me’ why didn’t you eat the reverse way… the desert first, the starters second and finally the main ?’ . I told God’ If I do that, my tummy would hurt and I would still end up being hungry after some time as the order of my eating is wrong’

I felt God telling me it’s exactly the same way with you accomplishing your daily tasks. If you keep doing things without organising and without order, eventually you have to give into the spirit of tiredness and frustration as nothing is going to get done at the end of the day.

God cares even about our simple silly to-do lists and I believe He wants us to think strategically to get them done without burning all our energy into it
Through this experience, I put together 4 P’s that will be help to accomplish any task . These helped me and I hope it helps you too.
1. PRAY ➡️ ✝️🙏🏻for strength and wisdom to accomplish the to-do list. With Him all things are possible

2. PREPARE ➡️ 📝🗒 The to-do list , visual listing of things to do helps process things quicker in your brain giving a reality check

4. PRIORITISE ➡️ 📌The entire list , task by task, some tasks might not be needed to be addressed immediately

5. PLAN ➡️ 🕟 Choose the best part of your day to knock them down

Now my friends, set into action with this promise from God. Declare it over yourselves and don’t let stress take away your peace. Invest that time and energy into your family and things that you love❤️

Philippians 4:13 (NIV)

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Dear God,

Thank You for taking interest in even the little things of life and teaching me to live a stress free life. I pray for strength to do all my tasks today and wisdom to prioritise them.

In Jesus Name Amen
