Equip yourself for the day. The Lord reminded me that worry is like a quick sand. When you get stuck in a quick sand, the first thing that attacks you is fear. Add a bit of anxiety it pulls you a bit down. All your focus is on worrying that you are sinking in and you hardly think of a way of getting out. The more you worry the more you sink deep into that quick sand
Worry is like that. It starts off with a negative thought or a thought about something that is yet to happen or that already happened. Add ‘what if’s’ to it and it is enough to lead you to the path of worry. Add a bit of fear, it sinks you into an overwhelming stage. Remember worry benefits nothing and nobody.
This morning is an invitation from the Lord to sink into Him and not sink into worry. As you choose to make this choice, His unconditional love, unfailing faithfulness and never ending grace will lift you of of that ‘quick sand’ situation which is trying to sink you in, into a world of fear and worry.
Meditate on Phil 4:6-8 and let the Lord minister to your heart. My prayer for you today is that the peace of God will overflow and bubble wrap you in His love. I see lots of nicely brightly wrapped gift packets being dropped from Heaven. Those gifts are free and for you. As you sit with Him , He will help you unwrap them and see for yourself. Spend time with Him in your secret place today and allow Him to talk to you.
“ 6 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life,
7 Then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.
8 So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always “
