Every believer has a unique calling and purpose in God’s plan. Sometimes, life’s challenges or distractions can cause us to lose sight of that purpose. When we feel lost or unsure of our direction, God is faithful to remind us of the call He has placed on our lives. Reviving our sense of purpose is a key to reigniting our faith and deepening our commitment to God’s work.

After years of working in a job that didn’t fulfill him, John found himself questioning his purpose. He was discontent and uncertain about the path ahead. One day, he prayed and asked God to show him his calling. As he meditated on 2 Timothy 1:9, “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace,” John began to feel a renewed sense of direction. God revealed to him that his purpose wasn’t tied to a specific job or title but to living out His love wherever he was. John began to serve others and share the gospel more intentionally, reigniting a sense of purpose and joy in his life.
Just like John, when we turn to God and ask Him to revive our purpose, He will show us the unique ways He has equipped us to make a difference in His kingdom. Our calling is not limited to one area of life but is woven into everything we do.
He has saved us and called us to a holy life – 2 Timothy 1:9
Prayer: Lord, revive my sense of purpose. Help me to clearly see Your call on my life and to live it out with passion and dedication. Guide me as I serve You and fulfill the purpose You have for me.
In Jesus Name
Amen
