Today being the 1st of Jan, 1st day of a brand new year 2019 many of us have new plans and fresh goals to accomplish. Some that stretches us out of our comfort zones and some that propel us to reach great heights to ensure we achieve what we have set for ourselves
I prayed and I believe that the theme for this blog for this year is ‘Intentional Living ‘
I firmly believe that the Lord encourages us in our journey of positive resolutions we take to better our lives. He also wants to remind us that to succeed in them we need to ‘intentionally’ keep up with them, no matter the obstacles.
‘Intentional Living’ is all about setting the foundation right so when your feet stumbles along the way, you have help along your journey, that propels you forward towards your set goal

Our lives need to be built on the solid foundation of the Word of God, the ultimate manual to living an abundantly fruitful and peaceful life on this earth. The Bible talks about building our values and principles on the Word of God so when trials and troubles knock on our doors, we will be able to defend ourselves against them and pass through them knowing that the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us and that the deep love of God will protect us from very harm.
Matthew 7
24-25 “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.
26-27 “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards.”
Today , I encourage you to look through your life and discover those areas of your life that need a solid foundation. It’s time to identify the weeds that suck the life out of you and pull them out of your life. Determine today whatever comes your way this year, you will stand by what is true. Today is THE Day to set your foundations right.
When you choose to live God’s way, God promises the below Word for you and your family.
Galatians 5
22-23 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
23-24 Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified.
25-26 Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original
Remind yourself today , YOU ARE AN ORIGINAL. THERE IS NO REPLICA OF YOU. Don’t try to be someone else when no one can be that ‘unique’ you, God has created you to be. Everyone’s call and journey is different. You are who exactly God created you to be. Declare that the Lord’s goodness and mercy will follow you and your family this year 2019, as you choose to follow Him and His ways. Make Jesus your Lord, your mentor, your teacher, your friend and companion this year. That’s the best decision you can ever take for yourself in your life today❤️
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for this brand new year 2019. Thank you for the new opportunities and the new fresh breath of air that comes with it. Thank you also for all the challenges that will come along the way as I know that You will teach us your ways through them and make us strong. I commit this year into your loving hands and I ask you that your continued grace, mercy, favor , providence and protection will be upon me and my family. We trust this new year to you. Have your way
