A Beautiful Reminder

This is a beautiful note that was sent to me by my amazing friend at my previous workplace. It literally sets the tone for my day reminding me of God’s love for me and that nothing, absolutely nothing that’s happening in my life is far from the reach of His hands. I then start my day with a smile, determined to be the very best for the day.

Today marks exactly 1 year since I quit my most loved, very secure job of 7 years in a health sector , to embark on an uncertain journey determined to improve work-life balance just so I can spend some quality time with my daughter. Long commute to the city really didn’t contribute to the work life balance I was looking for. I wanted a change but was afraid to step out of the comfort zone. What if I don’t end up getting a job ? Fear gripped my heart and became an obstacle to put my trust in God to action

Funny enough, most of my conversations and tantrums with God happens in the rest room. So here I am arguing why He should give me the job I so badly want in my life and listing my reasons on why God should consider my request . ‘I know you love me but please love me the way I want you to love me ‘ – trying to convince God at my best

I heard a gentle voice when I stopped my ranting ‘ Ok, I will bless you but what action are you taking for your prayers to get answered ?’ God reminded me that without faith it’s impossible to please a God

Faith without action is dead

James 2:17

God’s Word stirred my faith and set it into action. I started my uncertain journey with a prayer and took a massive leap of faith. I quit my job without another job on hand. As per the world’s standards it’s regarded foolishness, but for me it was listening to what God told me to do mattered the most.

That was a real faith check for me in my life. Am I trusting God enough to let go of my ONLY source of income , just because He said so ? I wouldn’t say I was full of faith like Abraham and just DID it, but I could honestly say that it was a journey for me, a journey of preparing my heart to listen to His Word and a journey of reminding myself that God would never fail when things didn’t go well after I quit the job. It was definitely not a bed of roses but the transition journey and the lessons learnt along the way was well worth it, as I experienced God as my sole provider.

When I look back at the last year, it certainly had its own awesome ups and terrible lows, but today my heart is filled with gratitude for the journey I boldly stepped into trusting only God .. I believe that God not only blessed me with a job I prayed for but also sent some beautiful friends along the way as a bonus.

So today I want to pass on this beautiful note that inspired me to be my best everyday and to keep my SMILE ON irrespective of the circumstance as it’s a beautiful reminder that GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS, not my time or your time, but in HIS time and it will be the perfect timing for your life !

He has made everything beautiful in His time

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Take heart ❤️ ! Whatever stage your prayer is from being answered, today is a gentle reminder that God has not forgotten you. Every drop of your tear is bottled and kept track of by Him. In His time He will repay back all that the locusts have eaten . God is never too early nor never too late. His timing is just perfect.

Dear God,

I pray today that as I wait on the answers to my prayers, help me to keep walking unwavered in my faith , be strong and confident trusting in You. I pray against doubt and fear in the name of Jesus . I intentionally choose trust over doubt, faith over insecurity and strength over weakness as Your word says that I am more than a conqueror in You and He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world

In Jesus Name I ask and Pray

Amen

Stay Blessed in Him💞
