I asked the Lord for a word for 2023 and He put ‘ Calibrate’ in my heart. For months I have been brewing on this word and what it signifies in and for my life .
I had a dream one night about me trying to make music with my guitar. My deepest hearts desire has always been making music for the Lord. So here I was in my dream trying to pull the strings on my guitar and thinking I am making ‘music’ but to be honest even in my dreams it sounded terrible. The strings were so out of tune and it needed a caliber. I woke up and still vividly remembered the dream. I knew God was talking to me. Though I had been taking music lessons, I had stopped taking them and miraculously wanted to become a musician for the Lord. My heart was in the right place to make music for the Lord but the desire needed action to make that dream come true. God whispered ” Faith without actions is dead, Sindu”
Our lives are entangled with dream and desires, of things we are currently doing and those that we want to do, things that we hope to happen, things that we try to make it happen. We want our lives to be like a beautiful garden but often we forget to take the weeds out that possibly could feed on the nourishment intended for the plants we grow. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that sometimes we even forget we are alive.
As Christians we have a responsibility and accountability on how we live our lives in this world. We need to consistently have a reality check of our lives and calibrate our lives in accordance with the Word of God. This Easter that is exactly God is calling us to do. The first step in getting help is realizing that we actually need help. God is capable of guiding us in our choices and decisions. We need God’s wisdom in those places of darkness and confusion to see the light. It is time to break ties with the lies of Satan and start believing God is for you, me and everyone reading this. God’s love is greater than our greatest mess.
Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear- Psalm 119:105
So today as you prepare your heart for the Easter season , as you reflect on the sacrifice God gave just for you so you could live an abundant life, I want to encourage you to surrender everything to God, to lay it bare before Him and ask Him to calibrate your life according to His word and ways
“So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
– Matthew 6:33-34 TPT
Pray this prayer with me
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you just as I am. Thank you for the gift of Jesus for me. I choose to accept that gift and ask your help to re-calibrate my life. Tune and bring closer things that are in your will for my life. Tune out and remove things that are not in your will for my life. I choose to trust you Jesus. Please forgive me for my sometimes ignorance and trying to take control of my life with my intellectual thinking. I declare you as the Lord and Saviour of my life. Have Your way Jesus. I love You Lord
In Jesus Name
Amen
Blessings in Him
Sindu
